This is the place where we are have documented the road we have walked in order to adopt our four children from Brazil and the road we are now on as a family. We are keenly aware that adopting is not just a process we've chosen to go through, but part of God's plan for us and for our children. May He be glorified through the process and through our family!

6 November 2009

Day number three of the biggest adventure of our lives has come to a close.  We are  exhausted and amazed at everything we have experienced in such a short time with our amazing children.   Each one of them is really an exceptional human being and they interact so beautifully with each other (when they're not fighting tooth and nail).  It feels like we've been a family forever.  We're still channeling Supernanny several times a day trying to set limits with love (while we show love without limits).

We had a great visit with Daisy the social worker today, talked on Skype with some very proud grandparents and got caught in a rainstorm (which turned out to be the most thrilling part of the day for almost everyone).  We also took some time alone with each of our children to give them the special gifts we brought for them.

Tomorrow we switch to a different hotel for 6 days since Betania is booked during that time.  The new hotel has a pool... which is sure to be a big hit with everyone.

They are just so beautiful!

You can bet those grandparents loved starting the day talking to everyone. It was the best day. Couldn't wipe the smiles from our faces!!

Such wonderful joy in the photos... and such an amazing journey you have been on. WE are SO delighted for you. Whether the days are mountaintop or valley, remember it is the same for every parent, and more importantly, that God is there whatever... going before, surrounding, covering the past. Blessings for the journey!

Thank you so much for sharing! We are the Dotsons from Georgia and we are adopting 3 kids from Brazil. Hopefully, we will be traveling in April. Your blog has been so encouraging and helpful to us. Even though we don't know you, we feel as if we do. We were so excited for you this week when you met the kids for the first time. We kept checking the blog waiting on you to post pics. Please know that we are praying for you.
