This is the place where we are have documented the road we have walked in order to adopt our four children from Brazil and the road we are now on as a family. We are keenly aware that adopting is not just a process we've chosen to go through, but part of God's plan for us and for our children. May He be glorified through the process and through our family!

3 November 2009--We're in Curitiba!

Here we are, in Curitiba, the city where our children were born and where they have lived their whole lives.  Closer than ever and feeling really peaceful about going to meet them tomorrow.  It seems like it will be a busy day.

9am (6am EST) we leave Betania and head for the kids' orphanage
10am we go to Casa Hai to meet with the orphanage staff... AND OUR CHILDREN!
After a couple hours, we'll leave and have some lunch together with Lino.
Then we go to the court to get the official custodial placement papers.  We may meet the judge too.
We'll come back to Betania, chill out, check out the rooms, and have a family talk with the kids (while Lino is still with us to facilitate)
By then it will probably be dinner time, so we'll have our first dinner together as a family!

At the moment, we're arranging things in our two little rooms at Betania and getting our minds ready for tomorrow.

Above are some pictures from today.  There's us and all of our luggage in the Moreiras' car, some airport photos, and a picture of Betania where we are staying.  The last one is for my friend Sharon, who knows why it is there.

(A little note:  the easiest and fastest way for us to update the blog is by email, and the blog just puts all the attached pictures at the top of the page.  Not the most beautiful or easy-to-caption option, but it saves time and frustration since it seems our internet connection is a bit spotty here.)
