There are two other adoptive families here with us in Curitiba. We have enjoyed getting to know them and their children. When we're all together there are about 20 of us. Quite a sight! One of the new dads was missing home-cooked North-American food and decided to organize a barbecued feast complete with hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, steak, scalloped potatoes and roasted vegetables! (Ahhhh, vegetables, how I miss you!) The kids all played together while the parents worked to get the meal ready. It was a treat to spend time together and a treat to enjoy the delicious food! James even grilled peaches and pineapples for dessert. Yummm.
These families are special to us and I'm sure we'll always share a special connection as our children grow.
