This is the place where we are have documented the road we have walked in order to adopt our four children from Brazil and the road we are now on as a family. We are keenly aware that adopting is not just a process we've chosen to go through, but part of God's plan for us and for our children. May He be glorified through the process and through our family!

9 months

April 9th marks 9 months since we submitted our paperwork to El Salvador.  I remember holding that big FedEx box in my hands feeling as though I was somehow holding our child.  We felt like parents at that moment and had all the hopes and dreams that parents have the moment they discover they are expecting a child.  
God has been more than faithful to us during the past nine months and we are thankful for the ways He continues to give us peace and hope and patience.  We are still 100% confident about our choice to adopt and our decision to work with AWAA in their El Salvador program.  We are still  positive that our child awaits us in El Salvador and that God is providing everything that he/she needs just as he prepares us and provides for our needs with blessings that amaze us each day.  We are so thankful for the ways we are able to grow as a couple as we prepare to be parents to the unique child God has chosen for us.

Nine months.  Seems significant.
