This is the place where we are have documented the road we have walked in order to adopt our four children from Brazil and the road we are now on as a family. We are keenly aware that adopting is not just a process we've chosen to go through, but part of God's plan for us and for our children. May He be glorified through the process and through our family!

High Tea at High Seas

We had a fun time this morning with our friends Brent and Michelle at the Yale Center for British Art.  The YCAB hosted a Pirate/Princess/Princess Pirate themed event with live music, nautical snacks, glittery crafts, and many children dressed as pirates and/or princesses.  We know how our friends and family members love pictures, and so we want to give the people what they want.  Also, we want to use this space to commemorate the miracle that is our family.

We love opportunities like these to enjoy time together because it (already) often feels like we're rushing here and there going to school, doing homework, doing chores, playing Capoeira, and then shuffling everyone into bed without having had enough time to cuddle or talk or just be together.  We're still sorting through how to do all the things we ant to do in our life as a family, and still have time to be a family.  While we figure all that out, we're giving out as many hugs and kisses as our poor children can stand.
