Even when the air is chilly and the water is downright cold, a splash park is always a hit. Here's to summer... just around the corner!
This is the place where we are have documented the road we have walked in order to adopt our four children from Brazil and the road we are now on as a family. We are keenly aware that adopting is not just a process we've chosen to go through, but part of God's plan for us and for our children. May He be glorified through the process and through our family!

6 months
6 months ago today we went to court in Curitiba to legally finalize the adoption of our children.
6 whole months? Seems like just yesterday.
Only 6 months? Seems like life's been this way all the long.
This coming week we will begin our first Post-Placement report by doing (yes) some paperwork and meeting with a social worker. Brazil receives a report about our family every 6 months for the first 2 years. In preparing for our homevisit, the social worker asked us how the overall adjustment is going for everyone in our family. Honestly, there have been plenty of highs and lows, but overall the answer is that we are a family and we feel like a family. Everyone seems to feel secure, and they're thriving in so many areas.
